Anna Truss – Seattle, WA, USA

Training volunteer since 2020.

Anna grew up with computers and started programming during her high school years. She has been trying to give back to the DFIR community ever since she got involved in 2008. She always had a passion for teaching and has taught through her company and several colleges prior to joining IACIS.

When she met Rob Attoe, his passion for teaching and praise for the benefit of volunteering for IACIS inspired her to get involved with the organization as a volunteer.  She feels honored to be the Chair and developer for the IACIS Applied Scripting Forensics (ASF) Techniques course and a developer and trainer for the IACIS Mobile Device Forensics (MDF) course.  Her goal is to inspire others and share her passion for digital forensics.

Anna is a Cyber Incident Response Manager for a Big 4 company, working on various projects offering cyber incident response and digital forensics services. She also teaches cyber security and scripting courses at several colleges and serves as a senior course developer and trainer for Spyder Forensics.

In her free time, Anna hunts for beautiful hiking spots and photographs those memorable moments, especially with family and friends.
