Stephen Villere – New Orleans, LA, USA

Volunteer since 2008 in the areas of Training, Certification, Ethics, and Volunteer Recognition.

Stephen has been fortunate to have supportive and inspiring mentors throughout his career.  In 2003, he heard about IACIS from his first mentor in computer forensics.  Stephen finally had the opportunity to attend BCFE in 2007, when he used DiskEdit to earn his CFCE, and he has been involved with IACIS every year since then.

After hearing the sentiment that “IACIS is a great volunteer organization.  The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it,” those words resonated with Stephen. Volunteering has created a continual cycle for him where he learns while helping others achieve their goals.  The ultimate “why” for him was building relationships with likeminded people, from those who helped him in the beginning to those Stephen has helped and watched build their careers over the years.

When not working as a Senior Trainer Developer for Cellebrite, Stephen enjoys time with his family, cooking, eating, adult beverages, and mental puzzles.  Although an adventurous eater with an open mind, this NOLA resident hates cheesecake, which he feels is one short level below Star Wars.
